Kilmartin Receives Endorsement from Lincoln Democratic Town Committee
Published on: Jun 24, 2010
As support for Peter F. Kilmartin’s Attorney General Candidacy continues to grow across the state, the Lincoln Democratic Town Committee has become the most recent organization to endorse his campaign.

“Our state faces an increasingly difficult economic landscape right now and into the foreseeable future,” said Lincoln Democratic Town Committee Chairman Tim McMahon. “Given this fact, it’s critical we elect an Attorney General who has the proven experience, leadership and vision to move Rhode Island toward a stronger and more secure future.”

McMahon also stated: “Kilmartin’s law enforcement experience, his long tenure in the legislature and keen awareness of consumer protection issues placed him squarely at the top of the list for us. The Lincoln Democratic Town Committee is proud to support Peter Kilmartin for Attorney General as he continues leading the fight against public corruption, cracking down on financial and mortgage scams, and protecting Rhode Island neighborhoods.”

“I am honored to receive the support of the Lincoln Democratic Town Committee,” said Attorney General Candidate Peter Kilmartin. “My campaign is traveling across the Ocean State speaking to people about how, as Attorney General, I will lead the fight against big banks and public corruption.  I look forward to working closely with the Lincoln Democratic Town Committee as we take action and move our state towards a stronger future.”

Peter Kilmartin received the Lincoln Democratic Town Committee’s endorsement for Attorney General over two other Democrats vying for the office; Lincoln Town Solicitor Stephen Archambault and former Providence City Solicitor Joseph Fernandez.

The Lincoln Democratic Town Committee’s show of support follows recent endorsements from the Warren Democratic Town Committee, Scituate Democratic Town Committee, Pawtucket Democratic City Committee, East Providence Democratic City Committee, United Nurses and Allied Professionals (UNAP), United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local 328 and Teamsters Local 251.
